BOUT PASTEL
Essentially dry paint, pastel can be vibrant and bold, or soft and diffused. I like to let the strokes speak for themselves. I work on sanded paper that grabs a lot of the medium, and rarely smudge the pastels. Instead, I layer color over color, creating the illusion of blended color and tremendous depth.
