PORTRAITS OF 2-LEGGEDS and 4-LEGGEDS
8 Metamorphosis
Materials you will need: Paper, cut out or printed photo of a common household object, pencil, markers, crayons, craypas, or colored pencils.
When is a thing not a thing? When you artistically turn it into something else. Either find a picture of a common object and cut it out before gluing to your paper, or download an object from the internet and print on paper, leaving room to draw around it. Then, incorporate your object into a drawing, turning it into something else entirely. It must lose its original purpose. For example, if it’s a vase, just adding flowers won’t do. The vase is still a vase. Turn it upside down, make it the base of a table set for dinner, and that’s a different story.
